'Joe the plumber' and Obama's tax plan

"Joe the Plumber" isn't technically a plumber, and he probably wouldn't be adversely affected� by Barack Obama's tax plan. But that doesn't mean the issues he raises aren't important.

- In today's world there are a few options rather than killing strays - like "No Kill" sanctuaries and even the Humane Society is doing much more to find homes for pets.

- Family Circus was, and always will be, one of my favorite comic strips. Bil caught every day life and families in a way that most of the other comic strips couldn't begin to capture. I cut out and still have some of my favorite FC moments.

- Always love the emotional name calling that goes on with these blogs. I'm an Independent and would certainly have agreed that it is dangerous - at this time - not to increase the debt ceiling. However, I keep wondering why NBS doesn't ask the second part of that question.

- I followed the OJ Simpson case VERY closely. There was no way OJ was going to be convicted simply because the defense stopped trying a murder case and instead tried the LAPD.

- Many troops DO want to bring their dogs home. Numerous stories have been written about soldiers love of the dogs they live with, sleep with, eat with and rely on for their lives. It was a big problem until Clinton signed that executive order.

- You've GOT to be kidding! Doesn't Obama understand that the 1967 border is not the issue? This conflict will never end as long as there are Jews. Yes, the Palestinian's feel that Jews invaded their land - all of it that now is called Israel - in 1947 and they want Jews GONE.

- I'm partial to GSD and have learned recently that the police also prefer the GSD because they are more reliable and think things through better than the BM. The main reason the BM are used is because of the cost for a good GSD. Not cheap.
